The East Windsor Education Association teams took home the top two prizes. Can they claim that victory two years in a row? The
foundation would like to thank the East
Windsor Park
and Recreation Department for choosing the EWEF as the recipient of the
proceeds from the 2008 Walk/Run for Healthy Lifestyles on Community Day, May 10, 2008. The EWEF
received $623.30 from the Community Day Road Race. We would like to acknowledge
and thank The East Windsor Athletic Club, Sam Buca’s Restaurant, Inc. and
Olender’s for their generous contributions.
Ongoing Fundraiser
Geissler’s Supermarket continues to be the foundation’s
primary benefactor. The foundation would like to express its appreciation to community members and
Geissler’s Supermarket for their continued generosity and participation. Since November, 2006 the foundation has collected Geissler’s
Supermarket receipts from community members. Geissler’s Supermarket then
donates 5% of every receipt over $30.00 excluding tobacco and alcohol products.
Geissler’s Supermarket receipts and monetary donations can be mailed to East
Windsor Education Foundation, 70
S. Main Street, East Windsor, CT 06088.
Drop boxes for receipts are located in the East Windsor Town Hall, East Windsor
Senior Center, Warehouse Point Library, Scantic Church, Enfield Federal Savings
Bank in Broad Brook, Broad Brook Books and Stuff and in each East
Windsor school office.
