The East
Windsor Education Foundation provides grants to educators in the East Windsor
Public Schools. The goal of the Foundation is to finance and promote innovative
and enriching educational opportunities for the children of East
Windsor.Proposals for
funding should not supplant items that are covered in the existing town or
school budgets.
Criteria
The
Foundation will consider the following criteria when reviewing each
application:
·Innovation - The grant proposal addresses the
varied educational needs of the students by exploring and developing new
programs and models for teaching and learning. The proposal seeks to achieve
creative pathways to learning that adds depth to the curriculum and motivates
students.
·Educational Merit - The proposal augments and enriches
the local curriculum and state frameworks. It supports the mission and goals of
the East Windsor Public Schools.
·Student Impact - Many students will benefit from
participating in the proposed program. This is a program that has the potential
to be replicated and impact a larger number of students.
·Sustainability - The program will sustain it self
after initial funding or it will be replicated.
These
criteria will be weighted based on the type of program. The applicant may be
invited to meet with members of the grant selection committee to further
discuss how the proposal meets the criteria or to provide more detailed
information.
Applications must be received by April 1, 2010 to be considered for the 2010-2011 school
year.
