Grant Program:

The East Windsor Education Foundation provides grants to educators in the East Windsor Public Schools. The goal of the Foundation is to finance and promote innovative and enriching educational opportunities for the children of East Windsor.  Proposals for funding should not supplant items that are covered in the existing town or school budgets.

Criteria

The Foundation will consider the following criteria when reviewing each application:

·        Innovation - The grant proposal addresses the varied educational needs of the students by exploring and developing new programs and models for teaching and learning. The proposal seeks to achieve creative pathways to learning that adds depth to the curriculum and motivates students.

·        Educational Merit - The proposal augments and enriches the local curriculum and state frameworks. It supports the mission and goals of the East Windsor Public Schools.

·        Student Impact - Many students will benefit from participating in the proposed program. This is a program that has the potential to be replicated and impact a larger number of students.

·        Sustainability - The program will sustain it self after initial funding or it will be replicated.

These criteria will be weighted based on the type of program. The applicant may be invited to meet with members of the grant selection committee to further discuss how the proposal meets the criteria or to provide more detailed information.

Applications must be received by April 1, 2010 to be considered for the 2010-2011 school year.
